SETTING TIME BY PENETRATION

The setting time of the concrete or mortar, i.e. the time necessary to allow the mixture to harden, can be evaluated thanks to the use of an instrument equipped with a steel tip; it is inserted at a predetermined depth inside the conglomerate and returns the resistance value that characterizes the material.

Depending on the type of Matest penetrometer, the resistance value can be read directly on the tip thanks to a graduated scale, or on a special dial.
